Today’s Bridgetown CrossFit WOD is designed to push your grip. The workout is 50 chest to bar pull-ups for time, with the catch of a “broken penalty”. Obviously more reps you perform unbroken, the faster your time will be. But as we all learned from Chris Spealer’s 100 Pull-up Quest back in 2009, consecutive pull-ups, even kipping take a toll on your grip. One strategy for this type of workout is purposeful descending sets. You know you can do 15 pull-ups in a row, so start at 10, then 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 5. Having a plan will minimize the time between pull-up and snatches

50 Chest to Bar Pull-ups*

*Perform 3 Hang Power Snatch (80% of 3)
