CrossFit Diet and Nutrition

Nutrition is not temporary. Nutrition is not static. Nutrition is paramount.

Whether your interest in nutritional advice relevant to a CrossFit Diet is for athletic performance, longevity or simply to look good naked, the approach you take will be out of necessity, individualized.
We do not embrace one nutritional strategy. Though we find merit approaches such as Paleolithic nutrition, Primal eating, and the Zone Diet, we believe the best strategy is one that is sustainable for you.

To this end we encourage our Bridgetown CrossFit members to learn to cook, eat real food, and log their meals. This approach allows one to address what we believe is the most significant crisis in health today; that people have lost connection to and control over what they eat.

Once these habits are entrenched we encourage exploration of more detailed strategies such as nutritional timing for athletic performance and intermittent fasting for body composition maintenance.

Worried about burning the Turkey? Family in town? Let out holiday stress at the gym.

Saturday: 9, 10, 11
Sunday: 10 – 1pm

“WOW I feel great! I didn’t over eat at all.”, said No One Ever, after a Thanksgiving meal.

Remember YOU are in charge of what you eat. While Thanksgiving has turned into a holiday of gluttony, you can still make good choices for yourself.

If possible use this meal and the rest of the weekend as a time to experiment with new foods and/or recipes you’ve been meaning to try.  If making a dish for a group, take copies of the recipe with you and some  index cards to write down the recipes of dishes you enjoy.
